Those trying out for a leadership position will need to fill out an application and indicate whether they are trying out for a captain position or to be a drum major. Those who indicate drum major will also be considered for a captain, automatically.

For tryouts, you will follow the list indicated below.

1. Attention (band, ten hut)

2. Parade Rest (band, parade rest)

3. Attention (band, ten hut)

4. Horns Up (band horns up)

5. Mark Time (8 beats) (mark time mark)

6. Forward March (8 counts) (forward harch, push and touch)

7. Left Slide  (8) (left slide left, stick and touch)

8. Backward March (backward harch, stick and touch)

9. Right Slide Right (right slide right, stick and touch)

10. Mark Time (mark time mark, push and touch)

11. Band Halt (band halt, stick and close, horns down)
