The band council is a group of chosen and elected students who represent the views and notions of the band. This group is separate from the student leadership team but may contain some of the same students. Members will be voted upon after the end of the football season. Meetings will be held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:40 am in the Band Office.

Positions -

• President - The president presides over meetings and is a figurehead for the band program. The president is also the speaker and representative for the band.

• Vice President/Secretary - The vice president serves any presidential role should the current president be absent. The vice president is also the acting Secretary who takes notes at meetings and takes daily attendance for band classes.

• Class Representatives - A senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman student who is not in another council position will represent his or her grade.

Should the council vote upon an issue and there is a tie, the band as a whole will vote. The majority will become the single vote needed to break the tie.
